Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musically inclined family. Her early years were spent listening to classical music, boleros from the past, as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana loves the opera and tango genres as well as all forms of dramatic performance. Ana began to learn how to sing and play music in the early years together with her mom. She received more formal singing instruction when she reached the age of 16 old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. The training in music continued at the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Then, she enrolled in the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. As a student and young professional, she performed with many chamber groups and opera choruses throughout Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. After moving to America, United States, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002 she moved to Southern California. She is currently performing the traditional Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. She is involved with many local organizations, both as a teacher as well as a performer due to her passion for art and music. Ana was a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is presently a professor in the Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to be able to be able to share her love for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will help younger generations continue the tradition.
